Task
STUDENTS, YOU WILL COMPLETE 3 ACTIVITIES:
- 3-D Atlas - This activity will teach you about the five themes of geography. You will learn about location, place, human-environment interaction and region. This is a group project.
- African-American Inventors - You will learn about the many contributions that African-Americans have given to this world; you will discover who invented items that you use everyday!
- Bessie Coleman: The Coin for Life - This lesson will teach you about economics and how it relates to real life; the goal is not to just equate academics with money but to see how economics parallels with individuals, households, and organizations.
Process
3-D Atlas
- This activity is a group project. Students you will put together your individual projects to create one group project.
- Students get your assigned states from your teacher.
- Once you have your assigned state, start conducting your research. Your fact box about your state will include the following:major cities, natural features, famous landmarks, pictures of the land (past & present), pictures of people (past & present)
