Task
Dear Painting expert.....Your Task is to read about the art of painting, talk about a painting style, the period of its existence, its representatives and give samples of their work.
- Write the biography of one artist.
- Prepare a ppt presentation and e-mail it to your teacher.
- Built a Kahoot game to play with the rest of your class.
Process
- Form groups of four.
- Find a name for your group.
- Decide on each other's contribution to the project.
Leader: is the coordinator of the team and helps guide the other members of the group.
Writer: is the one who jots down all the important piece of information and fulfills the worksheets and the ppt.
Reader: is the one who reads and proofreads what is written and makes necessary changes.
PPT/Kahoot creator: is the one responsible to prepare and present the ppt as well as choose all the necessary audio and visual material.
1.A. Read about different styles of painting and match each style with their definition
B.Then listen to the recording and match each style with a painting. There is an extra style you won’t need to use.
C. Select a style of ART (Cubism, Realism, Impressionism, Pop Art & Surrealism) find information and explain what it is about (When it first appeared, where, how...).

4.Choose one of the most important representatives and write his biography to be published on the school Wiki.

Guidance tips:
You may also use more than the suggested web information sources.
You can also use audiovisual materials of your choice, which are relevant to the topic.
You are to communicate with your classmates in English.
Keep notes of your discussions so that you do lose track of them.
Do not copy-paste from the sites.
Read the information and try to express your own ideas
Apart from the net, you may talk and use your own photos to illustrate the problem.
Just organize a "Take a shot of the problem" excursion with your team.
PPT Guidelines:
The following guidelines are to help you with the structure of your presentation. You can use them and/or add your own ideas. The number of slides is not strict- you may use more or less, depending on what you have to say and the visuals you want to include in the ppt.
Slides 1-3: The title, the team members, date & class/Content list
Slides 4-6: Present you painting Style.
Slides 7-9: Present the representatives of the painting style
Slides 10-13: Present samples of their work with comments
Slides 14-16:Say a few words about the most important representative
Slides 17-19:Include a print screen and the link of your Kahoot.

Teacher Page
This web quest has been designed to develop Ss' digital writing related to gathering and presenting information. It can relate to most A2 & B1 coursebooks and allows teaching mixed ability classes.
It also provides Ss with opportunities for collaborative learning and promotes Computer Assisted Langueage Learning (CALL ).
Moreoeover, this project is to increase learners' motivation, communicative competence, creativity and presentation skills.
Other objectives are to consolidate vocabulary and language elements related to the art of painting, promote students' new literacies, self-accessed and autonomous learning as well as normalization of computer-based learning.
This specific project took almost 7 teaching hours to be completed.
The Ss worked both at school and at home synchronously and asychronously.
Group work was thought to be essential so as to provide novice learners with scaffolding.
The teacher provided Ss with a variety of useful resources and was always there for them to provide support, guidance and encouragement.
Ss had to search for their own resources as well.
The worksheet was designed with view to help learners keep track of their work; it also facilitates monitoring and assessing task-completion.
