Introduction

Each branch of government has different jobs and responsibilities.  Explore our three branches of government during this WebQuest.

 

Task

You have been broken down into three groups.  Each group is responsible for learning about one branch of government.  You will find the following information for each branch.

  • who is in your branch
  • what are the duties and responsibilities of your branch
  • how does your branch interact with the other branches  
  • what does your branch have to do with a bill becoming a law 
Process

As a team you will use the Internet to find the required information for your branch of government.   Use the attached worksheet to take careful notes. The notes are important!  You will  use these notes to create your PowerPoint Presentation and to produce your handout

After you have collected your information it is now time to create your PowerPoint.  You will create four slides using the given format.  Review the PowerPoint as a group before saving for the final time. You will be presenting your PowerPoint to the class so make sure that you practice as a group to ensure that you give a good presentation.
