In this WebQuest, you will explore endangered animals in Hispanic countries while practicing your Spanish skills. You will learn new vocabulary, read simple information, and communicate your ideas in Spanish as you discover why these animals are in danger and how we can help protect them.
You will work as a team to research, write, and present your learning using Spanish.

Task
You will work in a group of 4 students to create a Google Slides presentation about one endangered animal found in a Hispanic country.
Your goal is to use Spanish to research, describe, and present information about your animal.
Your project must include:
- Name of the animal in Spanish
- Country and habitat (¿Dónde vive?)
- Why it is endangered (¿Por qué está en peligro?)
- 3–5 complete sentences in Spanish
- At least one image
- One way humans can help protect the animal
Process
Follow these steps to complete your project:
Step 1: Sit with Your Assigned Group
Sit with your assigned group of 4 students. Everyone works together as a team during the entire project.
Step 2: Choose an Animal
Select one endangered animal from a Hispanic country (Examples):
