Your task for today will be that you need to analyse the poem below and you also need to write a friendly letter based on the prescribed poem.

Instructions for task
- Analyse the prescribed poem by answering the questions given in the process section.
- Write a friendly letter of 150-180 words where you tell your friend everything you learnt about the prescribed poem. Also tell you friend why you liked or did not like this poem.
Process
In order for you to be able to answer your task correctly you need to answer the questions below and also follow all the steps provided to you.
1. Answer the questions below to analyze the prescribed poem
- What is the poem about ?
- Who is the speaker of the poem?
- Identify the message of the poem?
- What is the mood and theme of the poem ?
- Identify all figures of speech ?
- What is the Rhyme scheme of the poem?
2. Follow the steps to write a friendly letter.
- Create a mind map
- Write a rough draft for the friendly letter
- Read through your rough draft and make corrections
- Write down you final draft .
3. Format of the friendly letter .
- Write down the date, your name and adress.
- Supply a suitable saluation that captures your relationship with the recipient
- Use the first paragraph to ask how your reader is doing.
- Explain your main reason in your second paragraph
- Supply a suitable closing
- Sign your name and signature
