How do butterflies grow and change over time?

- Students will be able to identify and describe the four stages of a butterfly’s life
- Students will use Bloom's Taxonomy to analyze the different stages and recall the life cycle process in their own words.

Task
You are going to create a fun and colorful poster that shows the life cycle of a butterfly. Each group of students will focus on one of the four stages and draw or use pictures to show what happens at that stage. At the end, your group will present your poster to the class and explain what happens during each stage.
Process
Step 1: Research
Watch the following videos and read the materials below and material learned in class to learn about the life cycle of a butterfly:
Step 2: Group roles
You will work in groups of 4, where each person will focus on each stage of the butterfly's life cycle.
There are 4 roles:
- Egg stage: draw and explain how the egg is laid.
- Caterpillar: draw and explain how it eats and grows.
- Pupa: draw and and explain how it transforms.
- Adult butterfly stage: draw and explain how it hatches and starts cycle again.
Step 3: Create
GET CREATIVE!!!!
Use crayons, markers, color pencils option to use printouts for your pictures and color in.
Include a short description for each stage, explaining what happens in that part of the life cycle.
Step 4: Final presentation
Once everyone has completed their part of the poster, put all the pieces together to create the full life cycle.
