Introduction
Have you ever found a rock with a seashell fossil in it? Maybe you have seen dinosaur tracks at a museum or seen a piece of wood that has turned into a rock. Throughout this webquest you will learn all about fossils, how they are made, and actually create a fossil of your own! Let’s get started!
Task
-
Create your own fossil using play-doh and a small dino or plant of your choice.
-
Complete a vocabulary worksheet that will help build knowledge of proper terms.
Process
While going through the webquest resources make sure to watch the video on creating your own fossil two times. The first time to see how to do it and the second time to follow along with the steps. While going through the other resources, write down important words or phrases that stand out to you. This will help with the vocabulary sheet that is at the end of the resource options.
