Introduction
Alexander the Great: In 338 BC, King Philip of Macedonia had conquered the mainland of Greece. He turned his focus to attacking Persia, but was murdered. His son, Alexander, became the new King of Macedonia. Alexander was only 20 years old when he became king, but he was well prepared for his new duties. Proving he was indeed king, he put down a rebellion of some Greek city-states and turned his attention to Persia.
