Introduction
It is the end of the school year and what better way to celebrate our accomplishment than going to Happy Hollow Zoo.
In the zoo we will meet different animals. We will see mommy animals and baby animals as well. We will be able to feed them and also pet them.
After exploring the zoo, we will have our lunch in one of their picnic gardens. I am very excited hope you are too!
Task
As one of the most awesome animal lover you will need to become an animal expert.You will need to know what Each of you will make a book of all the animals that you see in the zoo. Please bring a digital camera and of course to forget to bring your big smile!
Process
Steps:
1. You will work with a partner. You and your partner will choose 5 animals that you want to learn more about.
2. Each pair will be assigned with a teacher assistant
3. You will need to take a picture of the animal and let your teacher assistant write the name of the animals.
4. Students will need to identify the names for the mommy animal and baby animal.
5. Each pair will then research also on the food that the animals eat.
6. The pair then have the pictures printed and create it into a book.
7. The pair needs to include the name of animals and food that they eat. It is encouraged that the pair asks help from the teacher assistant that was assigned to them.

As part of our social science unit and community based learning, we have learned about Mommy animals, baby animals and the food that they eat. The zoo was the perfect place for them to be able to learn more about animals.
This WebQuest is designed to be an extension activity where the students get to be animal experts. They will research an animal that they have chosen. Then they will need to process that information and come up with their very own animal book.
