Introduction

Most people are familiar with making cookies; however, they are not always aware of the important role that math plays in baking. You have been selected to explore the numerous connections between math and baking.

Task
You are probably familiar with eating cookies, but have you ever made your own? In the webquest below, you will engage in web-based inquiry to answer the questions presented and to perform the tasks required. These tasks will require a computer, access to the web and scratch paper. Links are included for each quest to help you explore. 
Process

1. Look at the recipe for Pumpkin Swirl Bars 

2. Double the recipe so you can make more.

3. What are the measurements of the ingreadents you will need when you double the recipe?

4. Re-Write the recipe.

5. How many people will it serve? 

6. Look at your vocab words to determine how to double something.
