Introduction
Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's) is any infection or disease that can be passed on from one individual to another during sexual activity (Better Health, 2014). It is very important to understand the severity of STI's and strategies that can be used to prevent them.
The Australian Department of Health (2012) states number of people who have been diagnosed with HIV in Australia has increased by 10% in 2012. It is also stated that there wa 82,702 new cases of Chlamydia, which suggests that there is great need for education in the area of sexual health.
Task
Your Task is to research STI's and identify behaviours that assist in Preventing STI's, and show how peers may affect the choices we make when it comes to sexual health. You will research online websites to find all your information, and you may work in pairs.
To present your findings, you are to create a film (mobile phones are permitted) that involves yourself and your partner either conducting an interview on each other or using other computer programs to express your understanding of STIs and various preventative strategies. You should upload your film to youtube once finished, and email me the weblink so I can track how your understanding of content is going.
You are required to make up questions that will be answered in your film, and should answer 4-6 questions (2-3 each if you decide to do an interview). Your film only needs to be approximately 2 minutes long.

Process
By using your own Research skills. Research STI's and Preventative Strategies.
In your research you should focus on questions such as:
- What are STI's?
- What is the most common STI?
- How can STI's Occur?
- How many People are affected by STI's?
- How can STI's be prevented?
Once you have completed your research, you and your partner are able to create a film and upload to youtube when you have finished.
To upload video to youtube:
- Create a google account. To do this, click upload on youtube, if you havent already created a youtube account, you will be asked to.
- Click select files to upload.
- Select the file you wish to upload.
- Upload.
Once you have successfully uploaded your video, email callan.gibbs@live.com.au the web address to access your video.
Evaluation
Marking is a simple mark out of 3 for each area.
