Dynamic Warm Up (10 Minutes)

Get students gathered together and have them warm up by going through full body movements and stretches.

Obstacle Course (30 Minutes)

Similar to the video above this obstacle course will consist of students doing the following,

Students will be required to navigate through different obstacles.

The first part of the course will require students to leap onto different dots that are placed in front of them, while doing this, make sure students maintain balance and coordination.

The second part of the course will make students shuffle in and out of cones laterally.

In the next part of the course, students will be working on their agility by hopping through hula hoops.

After the hula hoops, the students will be asked to crawl on the mats in front of them as quickly as they can.

The next part of the obstacle course will have pool noodles lying down on the ground, and students will be asked to jump over each pool noodle.

The last part of the obstacle course will have jump ropes on the ground that students will have to tip-toe around them without touching the rope.

After finishing, the student participating in the obstacle course must go back to the back of the line before the next person can go.

This course can be modified to help students participate in any way needed.

I chose working on different locomotor skills and was inspired by the over, under, and through obstacle course lesson from Just Adapt its website.

Cool Down (10 Minutes)

Gather students together after students have attempted the obstacle course many times and have them go through stretches and control their breathing.

Evaluation

To assess students' abilities during the obstacle course, I will focus on their ability to perform different locomotor skills and offer feedback if needed.
