Welcome to the "Thanksgiving Scavenger Hunt!"

Everybody loves the Thanksgiving holiday, right? What are some things you that come to your mind when you think about Thanksgiving? Maybe things like turkey, stuffing, Massachusetts, Plymouth Rock, the Pilgrims? Have you ever wondered where the traditions of Thanksgiving started?  

In this scavenger hunt, you will explore the "History of Thanksgiving."

  • Answer this question by going to the website titled "Jokes."   

  • Why did the Pilgrims sail to America?

Step 3

  • The Bald Eagle is our National Bird.  

  • Go to the website titled "Turkey" to find out why someone wanted to name another animal our National Bird.

  • Who was it and why did he think the turkey would be a better choice?

Step 4

  • Read the facts about turkeys on the website called "Turkey Facts."   

  • Name two interesting or amazing facts that you learned today.

Step 5

  • Click on the link called "Woman."

  • Who is the woman in the picture?  

  • Why is she important to Thanksgiving?

Step 6

  • How much time is left until Thanksgiving?  

  • Click on the link called "Clock" to find out.

  • (You can also visit HERE to enter your birthday when you are done.)

Step 7

  • Put on your headphones before you click on the link called "Music."   

  • From there, you will listen to the song and fill in the blanks.  

  • The weather was _____________ and ________________.
