Introduction

Reading is Dreaming with Open Eyes. 

Research is Creating New Knowledge.

"Who Loves Animals?"

Task

You will be researching service animals and writing an essay about what you have researched. 

What kind of animal is it? (dog, cat, snakes, etc.)

Why are they a service animal?

What action/skill were they taught to do?

What kind of service do they give? (diabetics, comfort, emotional, etc.)

 

Process

Students will follow chrome book rules and only get on sights that are appropriate. 

Students will use their chrome books to research the provided questions in order to be able to receive enough information to write their essay. 

Grammar and punctuation will be checked.

You will need: title page, works cited page, 5 paragraphs (introduction, body (beginning, middle, end), conclusion)

Conclusion

Animals are very smart and help people in many different ways. 

Students should have learned that animals are more than just pets they are helpers. Animals can help humans such as leading a blind person or jumping or licking on someone when their blood sugar is low or high. Animals can sense when someone is sick or something is wrong. Students should have also learned that service animals are not only dogs, but they can also be snakes, lizards, monkeys, etc. 

Students will have also learned how to do research and the steps of a research essay.
