The 6 Super Nutrients

Introduction

We will continue to look at the Super Nutrients. This medium will be used to cover Vitamins, Minerals and Water otherwise know as the micro-nutrients.

Task

With instructions and guidance from the teacher, Students will be expected to access videos on Youtube through links then do a summary on the different micro-nutrients. 

Process

  • Students will be placed in three groups. 
  • Each group will be given one of the micro-nutrients.
  • The links will also be distributed with instructions to create a summary of what was observed in the videos.

  • This will be done for 15 minutes then the students will exchange their information to access the videos and the process will start all over again using the different nutrients. 

Evaluation

The link below is an online link that sends students to a test. The test should be conducted individually and the scores recorded.

Conclusion

From the videos and activities done, students will be assigned homework to create a vitamin and mineral chart. Using pictures of the different foods, highlight the different foods that give the different Vitamins and Minerals. They will be expected to present their charts to the entire class.
