Have you ever thought how the world is in control? Or what has to happen for the world to run smoothly?
We are going to start our government lesson. Today we are going to learn about the 3 Branches of Government. Today you will become the teacher. You will be responsible of retaining the information on this lesson. You are going to go through this online lesson and at the end you will make a flyer on one of the branches of government. I hope you enjoy this lesson.
Task

Today we have to keep the world in control to keep everyone safe. Do you wonder what keeps everything in order?
You will go through this online lesson, learning about the three Branches of Government. This is an individual assignment, to be done by yourself.
Process

- Learning- Read the documents and watch the videos I have provided for your learning on this lesson.
- Notes- While reading and watching, take notes on what you've learned to help you with your ending activities.
- Review- After you've read the documents and watched the videos there is a worksheet at the end you will complete. This worksheet can be answered on a separate piece of paper. You will use the selected word box and provide a list of who is in which branch of government.
- Conclusion- There is an activity to be done in the conclusion section.
This link will be a document that explains the three branches of government. I want you to read the document first before you watch the following videos. After reading this document I want you to answer the following questions:
- Who are some people in each branch of government?
- Where are the location of each branch?
In this upbeat song, you will learn about the three branches of government. You will see what each branch does, and who makes up each branch of government. Answer the following questions after the video:
- What is the job of each branch of government?
- Why do you think we need 3 branches of government to stay balanced?
In this video, you will see how a bill becomes a law. You will see the process the bill goes through in the different branches of government. Answer the following questions after viewing the video:
- What is a bill? And how does it become a law?
- What is a veto?
This is the final document you will complete after you read the first document and the two videos. You will match who is in which branch of government.

Conclusion
You are almost done. You have one more activity to complete then you will be finished with today's lesson.
To test your knowledge, your last assignment will be to make a flyer of one of the branches of government. You will provide the following:
- The name of the branch of government
- What the branch of government is responsible for
- And who makes up this branch of government
Make your flyer nice, neat and colorful because they will be hung in the hallway.
On the back of your flyer I want you to tell me:
- Which branch of government you liked the most and why.
- What was the best thing your learned today.
