Introduction

The year is 1692, you are a towns person fearing for the greater good of your town and lots of suspicious behavior has been happening around your neighbor's house...

You are tasked to identify and accuse the witches in your town.

Write a one page letter to the judge in your town with three pieces of historically accurate evidence from three DIFFERENT types of sources to accuse your neighbor of witchcraft.

Process

Write a letter to convince the judge and your fellow towns people of the guilty party. If your letter is not well constructed, YOU may be next in line to be accused. So be sure to mark all cites, witch criteria and make sure your letter is well written.

3 DIFFERENT historical citations were made in giving the evidence to the judge 

The letter presented a strong persuasive argument to the judge for the individual accused 

Theres a thorough understanding of the criteria of "what makes a witch"

The letter is one page long (or longer) using proper grammar, full paragraphs and proper sentence structure. 

Conclusion

The lesson is concluded once the letter is submitted to the judge (your teacher) and the person you are accusing is put to trial via your letter and is found guilty or innocent based on how well your letter is constructed.
