Introduction
Water is one of the most important resources that we need every day. We use water for drinking, cooking, cleaning, bathing, and many other activities. But have you ever wondered where water comes from and why we should not waste it?
In this WebQuest, you will become a Water Conservation Detective. You will explore different websites to learn about the water cycle, how people use water, and simple ways to save water.
Your mission is to discover why water is important and create a simple Water-Saving Campaign that can encourage other people to use water wisely.
Task

- Learn about the different stages of the water cycle.
- Identify some ways people use and waste water.
- Find simple ways to conserve water at home and in school.
- Create a Water-Saving Poster or Infographic.
- Write at least 5 simple water-saving tips that you can share with others.
At the end of the activity, you should be able to explain why conserving water is important and how students can help protect this resource.

Visit the USGS Water Science School and explore the water cycle.
Look for information about:
•Evaporation
•Condensation
Precipitation
•Collection
•How water moves around Earth
After exploring, write the meaning of each process in your own words.
Step 2: Learn About Water Conservation
