Introduction:
There are numerous misconceptions regarding the field of Psychology and sadly, it leads to stigmas and violation to this field.Adherence to ethical standards in Psychology is very significant because the way we adhere to these guidelines may affect the wellness of our clients and our society.In this webquest, we we elaborate the crucial aspects of ethical standards in Psychology and evaluate it.
Task
Your task is to analyze the nature of ethical standards in Psychology, research real life cases that involves violation to ethical standards and real life cases wherein good practices in adhering with ethical standards is evident and evaluate these real life cases.You must have in depth understanding of ethical standards in Psychology, what hinders adherence to ethics, the impact of violating the ethical standards, the consequences and reprimands due to violation and how to resolve ethical issues.
Process
Step 1.Decide whether you will work individually or form a group
You can work individually, you can also work in groups. You can form a group of 3 students.
Step 2: Study the Code of Ethics of Psychology Practitioners(R.A.10029) thoroughly
-Make sure you understand the core principles,general ethical standards, and specific standards.
Step 3.Research Real Life Cases
-Use reliable resources such as google scholar, connectedpapers.com to search for real life cases or case studies
-Focus on real life scenarios wherein violation there is the violation of Ethical, what are the outcomes of not adhering these standards towards a clients' fate, its implications to the practitioner and what became the solution or the possible solution in these ethical issues.Also, do not focus only on ethical issues, but also research about real life cases of good practices in abiding with ethical standards and how it helped the clients and its impact to practitioners.
4.Justify your evaluation:
Make sure you evaluate these real life scenarios based on the code of ethics.Make sure there are no biases.You may also consult mental health professionals.

Mental health is one of the most important aspects of a human being because it affects the way we think and act and most of all our well being.Adherence of ethical standards is very crucial especially in the field of Psychology, unfortunately not all people and not all practitioners are not aware regarding it.
Through this webquest, we are able to discuss the ethical issues, real life cases of good practices in adhering ethical standards in Psychology and how to deal with ethical issues.May this webquest be a reminder that ethical standards especially in behavioral sciences should never be neglected.
