Introduction
What do you usually eat? How often do you eat fruit and vegetables?
Have you ever heard about the Food Pyramid?
Do you know what junk food is?
Do you do any sport?
INTRODUCTION
First try to think about what do you usually eat and how often do you have a walk or move yourself.
How do you react to a stressful situation? do you need to eat sweets?
Remember that “ prevention is better than cure”
After that, collect information in order to get a healthy lifestyle and make a Padlet (https://padlet.com/).
Now, it's time to start working!
Task
Surf the Internet to get information about the risk you run if you live a sedentary life and you eat junk food, then look for information about the effects of healthy food on your body and mind. Moreover learn how important is to move to control stress, to improve your immune system and to prevent diseases. Finally look for information about the negative effects of unhealthy habits such as smoking, drinking alcohol or using drugs on your health and quit these habits on your own or with the help of a specialist.
Then make a Padlet and share it with your classmates.
Process
STEP 1
The students will be divided into three groups. The first one, will look for information about junk food and its effects on the human body; the second group will get information about healthy food, the modern food Pyramid and alternative diets, the third will deal with the benefits of sport on human health and on the other side with the negative and dangerous effects of unhealthy habits. It's advisable to include mind maps of the different issues.
Within your group, each person must complete a specific job. Because this is a group project, remember that the responsibility of the group's grade is with all members. It is very important that you do your best.
