FLOWERS: PARTS AND THEIR FUNCTIONS

Introduction

Flowers are introduced as the reproductive part of a plant. They are not only involved in reproduction but are also a source of food for other living organisms.

Task

Students work in a group (5 individuals) to research information about the parts of a flower and their functions. Each team uses the information to complete a series of written and hands-on activities about the flower. It includes the evolution of a flower and its uses. Activities include drawing and labeling parts of the flower and its functions. Each group will create a book that tackles about different flowers as many as they can.
