EN4HOSTS - Nafpaktos...a town to explore

Introduction

Nafpaktos is a beautiful seaside town. We have to make a  brochure about Nafpaktos, enhanced by the most representative and suggestive photos and info so we could inform tourists about her beauties that worth a visit!!!

Task

You are working to the tourist information centre of the Municipality of Nafpaktos. You want to make a brochure which will contain the sightseeing of your town, accommodation, where to eat local traditional food, what to eat, useful phones, where to swim, what to do, etc..

Process

Step 1

Students in groups of 5 start work together deciding on the kind of brochure (bifold, tri-fold,  booklet, folders and inserts, flyers)  and start to research the following themes:  

  • Sightseeing
  • History
  • Accommodation
  • Restaurants
  • Activities
  • Trips around
  • Clubbing

Conclusion

The WebQuest is designed to develop the critical thinking skills in children. This WebQuest teaches students about how to make an attractive brochure that contains a lot of information so to promote the beauties of a town making tourists want to visit her.
