Task

Your task is to pick a state to research. At the end of the project you will able to tell me when the state was formed, who was the first governor, who is the current governor, if anyone famous has came from this state and any notable land marks including cities and parks.

Process

Before you start you will pick which state you are going to be reporting on. No state will be used more than once per class. (THERE ARE FIFTY STATES.)

Next we will spend two class days in the computer lab where you can research your state. I highly recommend that you spend some time outside of class to work on this project.

At the end of this project you will tell me through some type of report:

  • when the state was formed
  • who was the first governor
  • who is the current govenor
  • if anyone famous has came from this state
  • any notable land marks including cities and parks
