Welcome to our webquest! This month, we are studying the magical texts written by an amazing author. Please, feel free to explore with an adult and complete the assignments.
Task
You will have to read some of our favorite Dr. Seuss books in class. With an adult, retell the story and complete the assignments together. For this unit study, you will use infomormation from various websited in addition to what we discuss in class. This information will help you finish all of your work. Listed below will be the stories we will read in class...

Pre Reading Task: Do you think you know Dr. Seuss Characters? We will match these characters and check our answers together!
Assignment 1: Read through the Dr. Seuss biography and fill in the Dr. Seuss question page
a. What was Dr. Seuss' real name?
b. Where was Dr. Seuss born?
c. What was the first book he wrote?
d. What book did he write to create a new alphabet?
e. What year did he die?
*This assignment will need adult participation. If there is not an adult available, Mrs. DeGasperis is available after school on Tuesday and Wednesdays from 3:30-4 to help students.
Assignment 3: We've just finished Green Eggs and Ham, now we will play "Pin the Eggs" game in class.
*Parents, images will be taken during this game and uploaded to our class site.
At home: Make the Green Eggs and Ham recipe with an adult and tell me what you think!

Assignment 4: We have finished One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. Now complete the opposites assignment!
Assignment 5: Horton Hears a Who discusses many animals. For homework, your job is to draw your favorite animal and seal the picture in a paper bag. Tomorrow, we will work together to guess our animals.

Conclusion
