Television came to our life about 100 years ago, but even today we can hardly imagine our life without it. Despite the development of other sources of information, TV still remains one of the most important ones.
Television today has a great variety of functions and it can be used for entertainment, education, getting information and advertising. All these functions are represented in different types of TV programs, but do you know all of them? Let's find it out!
Task
During this web-quest you will have a chance to learn more about different kinds of TV shows and their peculiarities, and the most important - you will create your own TV program!

You can choose one type of a program that you have studied and make your own
TV show, or you can mix several types of TV programs and create something entirely new - the choice is yours!
You should choose your team (3-4 people) and think about your own TV program. Share your ideas and try to be creative. Remember - you are free to express any idea that you have!
Every person in a group must take an active part in this project, that is why you should divide all the responsibilities properly (e.g. to choose a leader, a designer, a person who will find the necessary information etc.)
Here are some questions that can help you to create a TV show:
- What is the title of the program?
- What is the purpose (the main idea) of this TV show?
- What are the major elements, characters, and themes of this show?
- Who is the target audience of this program?
- What rubrics are there in this TV show?
- Why do you think it can be interesting for people?
- At what time it will be shown?
- What is the duration of this program?
- How many anchors (show presenters) are there?

Evaluation
You will have a week for making this project, and then we will have a final presentation when you will show your projects to your classmates.
You can present your TV program in any form that you like. Be ready to discuss your projects and to share your opinions about this web-quest.
