Introduction

The Earth’s climate is changing and it’s affecting people, animals, and ecosystems around the world. But what causes climate change? And what can we do about it? In this WebQuest, you’ll explore the science behind climate change and come up with a creative way to raise awareness or propose a solution in your community.

Task

Create a climate action project proposal. You can choose to design a poster campaign, a school recycling program, or an awareness video. Your project must explain what climate change is, identify local or global effects, and propose a realistic action plan or solution.

Process
  1. Watch videos and read articles to understand the causes and effects of climate change.

  2. Identify one local or global impact (e.g., rising temperatures, flooding, extreme weather).

  3. Research possible solutions or actions that individuals or communities can take.

  4. Develop your project using a format of your choice (poster, video, digital slide deck, etc.).

  5. Present your idea to the class or submit it for a school display.
