Opening a café

Introduction

Have you ever walked into a café and thought, “I would do things differently”? Now’s your chance! In this WebQuest, you and your team will design your own café from scratch. From the name and logo to the menu and interior design—every choice is yours. But be careful: you have a limited budget and must attract customers in a competitive market. Your goal is to present a unique café concept that is affordable, creative, and realistic.

Task

You will work in groups of 3-4 students to:

Develop a café theme and name

Create a menu (food, drinks, prices)

Design the interior and exterior look (including a floor plan or drawings)

Choose a location and estimate start-up and monthly costs

Create a promotional flyer or ad

Present your café idea to the class in a 5-minute pitch
