  • Purpose: With recent socio-economic development leading to improved living standards and changes in lifestyle, the consumption of unhealthy foods high in sugar and calories has increased. As a result, the rate of childhood obesity has risen. Childhood obesity is a serious issue as it can hinder growth and development and lead to various health problems. To address this, it is essential for students to establish healthy eating habits. Therefore, we have created this webquest to help students learn about and adopt healthier eating behaviors.

  • Learning Objectives: This webquest aims to help students understand the importance of healthy eating habits and encourages them to practice these habits in their daily lives.

  • Teacher Tips

  1. As this topic is covered in the Practical Arts curriculum for Grades 5–6, it can be integrated into related lessons as needed.

  2. Healthy eating habits are not only about what we eat, but also about how we eat. For this reason, table manners are included as part of healthy eating habits, as they help students develop the practice of eating properly, slowly, and respectfully.
