Introduction

 Climate change is not a distant problem—it's happening here and now. From heatwaves to floods, people and nature around the world are being affected. But what is climate change? Why is it happening? And what can we do about it?

 In this webquest, you will become a climate researcher and explore the causes, effects, and solutions related to climate change. Get ready to learn and take action!

Task

You and your team will:

  1. Research the causes of climate change.

  2. Identify its effects on people, animals, and the environment.

  3. Explore solutions and what individuals or governments can do.

  4. Create a digital poster or short presentation (Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Canva) to inform your classmates about the issue.

Process

Follow these steps to complete your task:

Step 1: Group Work

Form groups of 3–4 students.

Step 2: Research

Use the links provided below to answer the following:

  • What is climate change?

  • What causes it?

  • What are the effects globally and in your country?

  • What are some possible solutions?

Step 3: Organize Your Findings

Create a simple plan or mind map of what you’ve learned. Decide which parts will go in your final product.

Step 4: Design Your Poster/Presentation

Include:

  • A short definition of climate change

  • At least 3 causes

  • At least 3 effects

  • At least 2 solutions

  • Images or graphs

Step 5: Present to Class

Each group will present their work in 3–5 minutes
