Description: This webquest is designed to have students compare and contrast two stories that have the same characters but different endings. It introduces students to multiple perspectives.


Task
Your task is to compare and contrast the two stories:

First, we will read The Three Little Pigs during a read aloud.
We will create a definition for the term Multiple Perspectives.
Then, we will have a discussion and fill in the first half of our Venn diagram on The Three Little Pigs.
(Teacher writes down students ideas on the worksheet projected using the document camera while students are copying the information)
Next, we will read The True Story of The Three Little Pigs during read aloud.
Then, we will have a class discussion and fill in the second half of our Venn diagrem on The True Story of The Three Little Pigs.

Finally, students will work in their literature circle groups (2-3 students) to discuss their thougths on the stories. Their final project is to determine as a group which pig they thought was the smartest and re-create a house that represents that pig.
Process

Then, we will have a class discussion and fill in the second half of our Venn diagrem on The True Story of The Three Little Pigs.

Finally, students will work in their literature circle groups (2-3 students) to discuss their thougths on the stories. Their final project is to determine as a group which pig they thought was the smartest and re-create a house that represents that pig. They will have to present to the rest of the class and persuade the class to why their house is the best.

This webquest is created for a Kindergarten-1st grade classroom. This would be a teacher directed webquest. The teacher can use a projector and computer to project the webquest in front of the entire class.
The following materials are needed to complete this webquest:
a computer, a printer, internet access, small milk cartons, construction paper, glue, and markers.
This webquest is a language arts lesson for students to study two stories with the same characters but different endings. It introduces students to multiple perspectives and gives them a true understanding of the different characters. This is also an introduction to my literature circles. They are working with their literature circle groups.
